<Update>
So, I have made some changes.
The first, and perhaps most obvious change, is that the archive has shrunk down to just under 2.9Mb, this was done by resaving the source png's with a 'quality' of 8, and a format option of 'progressive'.
Another thing to note is that I introduced more light pollution, as per `rayvinazn's suggestion, it is now not so easy (or even possible) to see the dim stars in the 'corona' of the star.
I've also cleaned up the stars themselves a bit, in an effort to remove some of the obvious repetition (which was really starting to get on my tits.
Overall, I think I have improved the image somewhat.
</update>

The one that got away would be a good description for this.
When I started this image, I originally intended to have the star and a planet, however, no matter much I tried I just could not get the planet to look good or look right. No doubt, that has as much to do with my inexperience with space art, as much as my current lack of technical skill (being serious, I am not that great with photoshop, I just know enough to follow most tutorials). Ultimately, I just lost my patience, because, well, I wanted comments and critiques sooner rather than later, so I could actually get better, but that wasn't going to happen if I forced myself stuck behind a self imposed barrier because of my reluctance to let things go, so, I gave up.

Which leads us to this image.
The sun was created using the Realistic Sun Tutorial by ~cypherneo (therefore, according to the artist comment, I should also credit ~Qzma too).

Nothing too special, just the sun on a background of randomly cloned stars, pretty simple stuff, really.

With regards to the wallpapers.
There should be something to suit everybody, with the following sizes:
1280x1024
2560x1024
1920x1080
3840x1080
1920x1200
3840x1200
2048x1536
4096x1536

That should just about cover the majority of people, if, however, you're using a triple screen set up, or you're using a dual 30" Apple Display setup, then, well, you're SOL.
Seeing as the archive is about 7.4Mb, I can e-mail single images to you if you can't do the full download.

Beautiful, this one - but a bit off.

Your stars still need work. What I'd do is try to keep them away from the sun as much as possible, and "gradiate" them towards the edge of your picture, so they appear to be reacting to the light given off by said solar centre.

The sun itself is fucking amazing though, I love it.

That's true, if the image went the way I wanted it too, I would introduce some light pollution and blot out the stars nearer the sun (gradually, of course), however, without anything else in the image, I thought it'd be best to have something else there, as the sun itself would be fairly lonely with absolutely nothing else to keep it company.

Well, since your sun is somewhat toned down in brightness, you could get some pretty thick stars on the upper-right of your picture without looking too bogus.

Still, the point of this piece is the sun, and it really does look great.

I am impressed by the way you captured the molten texture.

I can't really take credit for that, since the star is essentially multiple layers each with the same Action done to them (the tutorial contains the action to do this), after that it is a little bit of tweaking of the blending modes, some use of the smudge tool, and, the use of a special blurriing filter (also included).

In fact, the only thing that I truely did myself, really, was the smudging, and changing the colour of the top layer to be more yellow.
